Dania Hany (b.1995) is a Photographer/Visual Storyteller based between Turkey and Egypt.
Driven by a curiosity to learn more about her family history that extends to the mountains of the Caucasus; her work relies on using the personal as a primary subject matter. Working primarily with analog and secondly with digital for commissions, the camera is her medium to document places and people in relation to their surroundings.
Her work has been published in online magazines and blogs such as iGNANT and World Press Photo's Witness and exhibited in Cairo at Medrar for Contemporary Art, Cairo Photo Week, Rome at LoosenArt Gallery, Stockholm as part of Supermarket - Stockholm Independent Art Fair and Latvia at the International Summer School of Photography.
In 2019, she was selected for the Arab Documentary Photography Program (ADPP) grant/mentorship, mentored by Eric Gottesman.
